What fueled your creativity for the Polish collection?
Greek salad is a classic dish for a reason! It’s so easy to make, healthy, and delicious, making it the ultimate snack. There’s no other dish that reminds me so much of Greece! I love dipping bread into the tomato juices and olive oil.
How did you choose the color palette?
When I think of Greece, blue is the first color that comes to mind, so it’s always my first option, although some illustrations are more stylized to avoid repetition. I look up references online when I need to draw elements from specific areas of Greece, but I’m also inspired by personal memories of traditional homes, everyday objects, and landscapes I’ve seen growing up.
Which song was the most fun to illustrate?
"Otan tha pao kyra mou sto pazari” was the most fun to bring to life! It brought back happy memories of me singing it to my grandparents, so I loosely based the courtyard illustration on their home. The song itself is also funny, with the character constantly bringing animals to his lady as gifts and you having to sing a ton of animal sounds!
