When should I change my book's batteries?

If you notice that your book is no longer playing the songs in full, it usually means that it's time to change the batteries. This typically happens after about 200 play throughs. Depending on how much use your books get, that may be anywhere from a month to a year. When our books are getting lots of love, we tend to change the batteries every 6 weeks or so.

What do I need to change the batteries?

For our newer books, you will need 3 AG13 batteries. We purchase these on Amazon. You will also need a mini screwdriver set like this one

Now what?

Make sure there are no children or pets around before changing batteries. Batteries can be very dangerous if swallowed. Use your screwdriver to unscrew the back panel (lefty loosey). Remove the 3 batteries from the book. Put them aside carefully somewhere that is not accessible to children or pets and dispose of them in a battery disposal facility. These are often available at office buildings and supermarkets. You may need to use the flat head screwdriver to nudge the batteries out.

Replace the three batteries. You'll have to push the new ones into the slots. Then put the panel back. Make sure to screw to the right and make sure the panel is on tightly and safely. Check out the video below for details!
