5 Spanish Picture Books in Our Current Rotation

Happy New Year! I'm so excited for all of the new Spanish picture books coming out this year! In the meantime, I wanted to share a few we've been enjoying recently in case you're looking for some reading inspiration!

Panda Pérez

Panda Perez

I'm a sucker for Ratoncito Perez stories! The tooth fairy is fun, but Ratoncito Perez feels next level to me... maybe it's the novelty since I didn't grow up with the ratoncito sneaking into my room to snatch my teeth and replace them with a coin or gift, but there's just something so fun about these stories to me! This story about a Panda who is trying to become a Pérez and all of the challenges he encounters is super fun. And the illustrations are beautiful! I'm honestly tempted to frame some of the pages and hang them up in our kids' rooms!

Clementina y los planetas

Clementina y los planetas

My kids have been asking some questions about the solar system recently so this book has been especially fun! It's the story of Clementina on the lookout for her little chick who has gone off to explore the planets! Y'all know I love rhyming verses, and this one fits the bill.

Mi perro Lucas

Mi perro Lucas

I'm always on the lookout for Spanish books for early readers that are simple enough to avoid too much frustration but still have a fun storyline. This one is perfect! It's the story of a dog named Lucas who is feeling pretty frustrated with his owner. Fortunately, things work out in a very cute way.

Un lobo con mucha hambre

Un lobo con mucha hambre

This one is an oldie but a goodie! I've never seen it available on Amazon Prime before though! It's a brightly and boldly illustrated short book that is really fun to read with toddlers! A hungry wolf is in the forest, and the hare tries to warn all of the other animals. But... will he be successful? More silly than scary!

¿Pero qué le pasa a Blasa?

From my very favorite author/illustrator duo, this story (again with beautiful and fun rhyming verses) is all about la cabra Blasa. She's acting funny, and all of her friends are trying to figure out what's going on! Could it be that she's in love? A fun one as we get ready for Valentine's day!
